Pill Timer Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pill Timer (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) and our Privacy Notice. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

Pill Timer is intended for users aged 13 years or older. Users under 18 should use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Do not use the App to manage medications for children under 13 without direct supervision by an adult caregiver.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, CoreCodery grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

This license does not permit you to: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; (c) remove any proprietary notices; (d) use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.

4. Medical Disclaimer

Pill Timer is not a medical device. It is a reminder, tracking, and organizational tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Features include scheduling reminders, tracking adherence, and optional AI-assisted suggestions (via Google Gemini). You must not rely on the App as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your physician or pharmacist regarding your medications, dosages, interactions, or any health-related concerns.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not act on AI suggestions without independent verification. The full disclaimer is available at /privacy/medical-disclaimer.

5. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Entering accurate medication information (name, dosage, schedule).
• Verifying reminder times match your doctor's prescribed schedule.
• Granting and maintaining device permissions (notifications, exact alarms, background execution).
• Ensuring your device has sufficient battery, storage, and connectivity for reminders to function.
• Taking your medications as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
• Maintaining backup arrangements — do not rely on Pill Timer as your sole method of tracking critical medications.

6. Notification Reliability

While Pill Timer aims to deliver reminders reliably, we do not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered on time or at all. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including device OS behavior (battery optimization, Doze mode), network availability, push service uptime, and your device permissions. For life-critical medications, use multiple independent reminder systems and consult your doctor.

7. Photo Attachments & User Content

You may optionally attach photos to medication entries. All photos are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of any content you add. Do not include images of other people without their consent.

8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. Optional premium features (“Pro”) are available via in-app purchase or subscription.

• Payment — all purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive, store, or process payment information.
• Subscription auto-renewal — Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancel subscription — manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions (iOS) or Google Play > Subscriptions (Android). Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — refund requests are governed by the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play. CoreCodery does not process refunds directly. For Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google, visit Google Play refund support.
• Price changes — we may change subscription prices. You will be notified in advance of any price increase, which will take effect at your next renewal. You may cancel before the change takes effect.
• No transferability — subscriptions are tied to the purchasing account and cannot be transferred between Apple and Google accounts.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App in any emergency or life-critical situation where failure could result in injury or death.
• Use the App to dispense, prescribe, or recommend medication to others in a professional or commercial capacity.
• Attempt to bypass in-app purchase mechanisms or use modified versions of the App.
• Use the App in violation of applicable laws, including privacy and medical regulations.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REMINDERS WILL BE DELIVERED RELIABLY.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORECODERY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• Missed doses, incorrect dosing, or medications taken at the wrong time;
• Health outcomes, adverse reactions, hospitalizations, or injuries arising from reliance on the App;
• Notification failures, delays, or malfunctions caused by device, OS, network, or push-service conditions;
• Inaccurate information entered by you or interpreted by AI features;
• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoreCodery, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase (analytics, crashlytics, messaging), Google Generative AI (Gemini), Apple App Store, and Google Play. Use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. CoreCodery is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these services.

14. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Pill Timer Privacy Notice, which describes what data is collected and how it is used.

15. App Updates

We may release updates, patches, or new versions of the App. Some updates may be required for continued operation or security. By using the App, you consent to automatic or prompted installation of such updates. We may discontinue support for older OS versions or devices without notice.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any purchases, except as required by applicable law or the policies of the app store through which you made the purchase.

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Thailand. If you are located in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, those laws may apply to you in addition to these Terms.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
